Successful Accreditations: AEO Post-UCC

Problem:

As part of a global initiative, a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) parent company was looking for all their subsidiaries to have an accreditation in line with their top-level Customs – Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) status.

C-TPAT is a voluntary, joint government-business partnership to help strengthen international supply chains and increase border security.

Solution:

VernonRato Limited undertook project management work for the applications in the UK and helped coordinate the application in Europe. Working with the UK subsidiaries was the most challenging as this included 24 manufacturing sites. In total, nine audits were managed and co-ordinated by our team, with regular communication between the factories, staff and HMRC which presented a great challenge as the factories are distributed throughout the UK.

Results:

Both the required accreditations were completed, audited and passed within four months.
